The 3nd Annual 'Aumakua 2.4 Mile Ocean Swim Labor Day, Monday, Sept 3, 2007 Maui Dolphins co-sponsored the 2.4 Mile 'Aumakua Swim and "Sprint" Mile on Labor Day, September 3rd, 2007 at Malu'aka Beach in Makena Maui with Maui Masters Swim Club. There are also satellite views of the course, pictures and descriptions of the wildlife, and just a look at playful waters around Maui. The 4th Annual 'Aumakua Ocean Swim will be Labor Day, Monday, Sept 1, 2008. Cancelled - 25 meeter 'Aupupoole Maui , Sunday, September 2nd, 2007 - Kihei Aquatic Center - Cancelled Channel Swim Saturday Sept 1. 'Aumakua Swim Monday Sept 3rd. What to do in between? ... SLEEP IN!!! ... then ... not TOO early after the Channel Swim Dinner ... By request, Maui Dolphins (Age Group) Swim Club with the help of Boy Scout Troop 18 offered a a 25 meter meet at Kihei Aquatic Center. It was cancelled due to lack of entries - we needed 50 entries but only got ~15. Click here for meet information and entry form. We'd like to try again if there's interest ... check back. The 4th Annual Maui Summer Pentathlon, Saturday, August 23rd, 2008 - Kihei Aquatic Center The Maui Summer Pentathlon is a USMS Masters meet intermingled with a USA-S swim meet alternating through 5 events: 50 Fly, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Free and 100 IM (25's for 8-Under). The meet was held again at the Kihei Aquatic Center August 25, 2007 this year. Next year we're planning on The 4th annual... The idea of a Pentathlon is to swim every event and add up the times. Warm-ups and warm-downs are kept separate between USMS and USA-S swimmers. The event is one to show swimming as a sport for life ... and for families that everyone can participate in. Age group entries are handled by the MAGSA age group chair with Team Manager - Teams send in their entries. The list of events is available for Team Manager, and for MS Word & events. Masters entries are handled by filling out the linked 2007 form and here's a TM 2007 Masters file for the Masters meet. You can fill out the form on your computer, print it neatly, and send in with payment and a copy of your USMS card. Swimmers must be registered either with USMS or USA-Swimming to participate. The Kapalua Bay Fun Swim; Tentatively scheduled for Sunday July 27, 2008 Maui Masters Swim Club sponsors this ~1 mile ocean race. 2007 Results can be found on our MDSC Results page. As co-sponsors with other swims, their Kapalua Bay 2007 entry form is put here for convenience. Like the other forms on this page, open, fill out on your computer, print and send it in (or bring it with you to the race). The Ninth Annual Polar Bear Fin Swim; Tentatively scheduled for Sunday January 27, 2008 Maui Masters Swim Club sponsors this 1.2 mile fun-fin-fun swim.
